Dawn & John's Prayer for Kate

Dear Heavenly Father, before our family and friends, we publicly profess our reliance on your unlimited mercy, we acknowledge your power and greatness, and thank you for your abundant and steadfast love, for your unending mercy, for your grace, for our salvation through your son and our savior Jesus Christ.  We thank you for the love and prayers of our family and friends, and we thank you for hearing the multitude of prayers for Kate and answering from your abundance more than we could ever ask.

We recognize that you have only entrusted Kate to us.  We ask that you bestow upon us the wisdom, the grace, the patience, and the love to raise her in your ways.  We ask that you protect her from all evil and that you lay your Spirit upon Kate and grant her your hope, your peace, your joy and your love and that she be a blessing to you for all of her days.

We ask this in Your Son and in our Lord Jesus Christ's name, Amen.

OUR PRAYER FOR E. KATE

We prayed a prayer for you today -- and we're assured God heard
He answers every prayer we pray--although He says no word
    We didn't ask for beauty--except the inward kind
We didn't ask for wealth or fame--and hope you didn't mind.

But we did ask that in your heart--with every passing day
    That you would know it is God's grace that guides you all the way.

We asked for wisdom and discernment--that only He can give
    and faith and hope and love and trust--and closeness, Kate to Him

And so, dear one, as you walk with Him--deep in our hearts we know--You'll grow more like Him every day.

THAT ONE WHO LOVES YOU SO!!
